Knowledge is Power!
One of my favorite aspects of the post-apocalypse genre is the idea of discovering what was lost and building a new future out of the ashes of the old. Books would be a key part of any attempt to rebuild the shattered world and they were always one of my favorite treasure items in PA games.

Nuclear Sunset: The Southwest is the first installment in a post-apocalyptic campaign setting.
Though written with Mutant Future in mind, this campaign is almost 100% mechanics-free and could easily be adapted to any post-apocalyptic rules set.
