For this Savage realm of Suzerain enjoy an old school killer dungeon in a fantasy setting that draws heroes from every corner of time & space.

The Lich Queen has trapped your heroes in her ever-shifting labyrinth.  They've survived the Tome of the Lich Queen, but now they enter the machine level - the inner workings of the dungeon.  Left or right, fight or hide, rescue an angel or ally with a demon...make your choices carefully.

Welcome to the meat grinder!

Inside you'll find all you need to run this unique setting, all the background information and encounters that will challenge any party of Heroic characters, plus the stats for all manner of new NPCs and critters.

Product Contains: A stunning 110 page PDF detailing every evil twist and turn in the dungeon. The book is layered so you can switch off the ink-devouring elements to create a print-friendly version on the fly. Note, this is the Savage Worlds version of this book.

I have recently purchased the 3 books composing the trilogy of the lich queen. However, there is some incoherence between the first book and the two others. For example, in the second book, Machine of the Lich Queen, during encounter 7, mention is made of a previous encounter with the demon Mulcimber. However, I can't find any mention of Mulcimber in the first book. Has something been rewritten in between editions?

Looking back through it, you're right Karel - Mulcimber isn't a set encounter in Tomb of the Lich Queen. He is intended to be inserted into the book as an encounter between the others, wandering around the tomb. The book isn't very clear about that (apart from him appearing on the random monster table and having his stats at the back of the book), for which we apologize. When we do a major update, we'll be sure to fix that and to make it clear.

Thank you for the quick reply, I should have noticed his presence among the random monsters.

Do we need any other books, besides the main Savage Worlds rulebook, to run this adventure?

Hey Bruce! To get an overview of the grander setting start with Savage Suzerain, it's Pay What You Want so it should fit any budget. Machine of the Lich Queen is volume two of three. The preceding book Tomb of the Lich Queen is the prior levels of the dungeon, if you're going to play the campaign straight through you should start there.

Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Thanks for the quick reply. I was looking for an old school grind dungeon to run at a convention next month. It's a small con. Someone is running a Dungeon Crawl Classics 0-1 level grind. I was thinking about having a SW one next to it.

Savage Mojo offers great quality products and this sounds interesting in a "The Cabin in the Woods" way. But the price is pretty steep. For $15 I would be tempted but not for $35. I'll be on the lookout for a sale.

Eric L.,

The price was a human error issue. Entirely my own fault. While the actual price is not $15 it's pretty close. Thanks for commenting, it helped me locate and fix the error much more quickly.

If there is anything else I can do or any questions I can answer please comment here or contact me directly at loki@savagemojo.com. I promise a prompt response!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
