ESA: Environmental Sound Art
What we do
Below is a brief description of the catalogues designed by ESA. Our aim always is to improve our gaming experiences by creating flawless audio.
ESA products incorporate live recordings edited and mixed in our studio, as well as a range of performed and composed pieces, to give you a wide selection of choice.
Environments and Atmospheres
ESA’s main catalogue is its growing selection of environments and atmospheres, recorded from real-world locations around Northumberland, England. From coasts to forests, windy moors and farmland, the Northumbrian region provides a wealth of backdrop sounds that bring life to your gameplay.
Items within the ‘Environments and Atmospheres’ catalogue are non-musical, though we do produce versions of these tracks with music in our ‘Soundtracks and Musical Accompaniments’ catalogue.
Soundtracks and Musical Accompaniments
A mixture of looping and non-looping tracks (the latter designed to be used as part of a playlist), ESA’s musical soundtracks and accompaniments are designed to enhance the gaming experience.
Some audio tracks within this catalogue include environmental effects. Others do not, allowing you to mix and match environmental and musical tracks produced by ESA, or other studios.
Musical Set Pieces
These tracks are designed by ESA to present an introduction to a gaming event or scene. They can provide interludes or act as a backdrop during breaks in play – ensuring you remain in character at all times. Once the scene has been set, why fracture the gaming world you have created?
