HinterWelt Enterprises is a publisher of role-playing and card games. We primarily deal in our Iridium and Iridium Lite RPG engine but also have OGL Fantasy and Modern titles. Many of our titles you will find in e-versions as well as in print in local game stores, on-line and at our site.

We also pride ourselves on our online support including our CHARGen character generator, store and update system. This is an entirely web-based system with no proprietary software to install. It will render a PDF character sheet or display your character in HTML format. All for Free!

Iridium System

The Iridium system uses skills to define a characters abilities. Experience is spent to buy new magic, skills, and abilities but do not advance the toughness of the character. Knowledge is power! This is one of the tenets of the Iridium System, skills, there fore knowledge, allow a character to get tougher. Fortitude stays the same no matter how much experience a character earns. Overall, combat is lethal and fortitude is organized into hit locations allowing Fortitude to be allocated depending on the vitality of the area. The head is more vital and gets fewer fortitude points than the arm.

Iridium Lite

A lighter version of the Iridium System it still has hit locations, skills, advancement by spending experience but now the skills and magic are all determined with one roll of the die. Also, the magic system is our Free Form magic from the Iridium System. A simpler, faster method of play.
