Got 99 problems? Make sure that coming up with a number for tonight's game isn't one!

100 Truly Random Numbers is a finely crafted list of mostly historically accurate and verisimilitudinous numbers collected by our semi-professional mathmagicians. Perfect for randomly generating a random number, and not just some list of numbers organized numerically!

A sample of what you might find:

7. Cℓ3,0(R)

18. eleventy-seven

62. ζ(4)

This product is system and genre agnostic, so feel free to use it to use it to randomize your fantasy PCs, to name your tanks in any number of popular war games set in the far future, to add some realism to your virtual reality simulator adventures, or just to spark your own imagination!

A product such as this whose worth is only limited by its own merits (which should be clear to one and all), yet, I was unable to give it a full "5" because of the gross oversight in excluding (either by accident or, even more serious, by des [...]

I have no idea what this was (it's deleted now) and I suspect it was some kind of joke. Maybe it's some kind of mathy nerd thing I don't get but for my purposes it was useless and a waste of time. [...]

Not only are these numbers random, they are verisimilo... versimilai... they really seem real! I'm not sure, but Bilbo Baggins' age on the very day he vanished may be in this list. As well as the answer to your advanced calculus homework. [...]

Outstanding in every regard. I award it :rolldice: many out of :rolldice: lots. I think that's good. [...]

This list is nearly perfectly stochastically random, though applying it to my verisimilitudinous dungeon crawl has proven forthrightly difficult; fighter rolled a 22 and now he has a treasure chest containing aleph-null guisarmes; seeing as how he is [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
