In Harm's Way: StarCluster - Five Ships

ADD TO WISHLIST >

From the mind of Klaxon Bowley comes five ships for the In Harm's Way: StarCluater RPG.  These are five military ships of the SaVaHuTa Alliance. Each one was built to perform a specific range of missions. Some emloy force, others employ stealth, and others heal wounds:

  • SNSMS Francis Marion is a 750 ton brig. The Marion uses stealth and deception to infiltrate into enemy territory, getting up close and personal with the enemy.
  • SNMS Our Lady of Lourdes is a 10,000 ton hospital ship, with operating, diagnostic, healing, and recuperative functions. Our Lady is always ready for war, but is immensely useful in peace as well, traveling wherever she is needed to heal and help.
  • SNSS Thomas Knowlton is a small 100 ton infiltration craft, designed to slip behind enemy defenses, landing spies and saboteurs where the enemy least expects it.
  • SNCS The Three Amigos is a 100,000 ton composite craft. It splits into four separate vessels - a 20,000 ton escort carrier with light and heavy fighters and attack craft, a 20,000 ton heavily armed destroyer, a 20,000 ton troop assault ship with 2700 troops, drop tubes, and 20 100 ton troop carriers, and a 40,000 ton Core ship, lightly armed, but very fast without its three rider ships.
  • SNDAS The Last Resort is a 300,000 ton Division Assault Ship. She carries an entire division of elite drop troops into battle, with artillery. 600 each of light fighter, heavy fighter and attack craft, and hundreds of batteries of weapons. The Last Resort is a hammer looking for a nail.

Along with the pdf is a spreadsheet, allowing you to examine the ships - including all their carried craft - in great detail, and to edit and change the ships as you prefer.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
