There is one universal truth about any gaming campaign – they all need a bar fight.  Even modern games need a good old fashioned brawl.  So here it is, Rodney's Cocktail Lounge.  A bar, parking lot, and strip mall placed in a 60 by 37.5 inch battle map, perfect for brawls or shootouts.  The interior of the cocktail lounge is fully detailed to assist the GM and players both with what can be found here.  All you need to do are place your NPC's and let your PC's go to work.  In addition to the lounge and the bar, there is an outdoor area for guests to relax outside, as well as a kitchen, dishwashing area, walk in cooler, storage room, office, break area, and restrooms for both the customers and the employees of the bar.

Are your players looking to rob a bar?  Are they hunting an invisible enemy and looking for clues to reveal his identity?  Could they simply need to meet a contact in a public place, and everything goes wrong at the meeting?  This is the place for you.  Plenty of open space for letting your players decide just how they want to approach whatever situation you put them in.

Features:

  • 60" x 37.5" in size.  Roughly 5' by 3.125' when printed out.  Perfectly sized for most gaming tables!
  • HEX and SQUARE grids for each type of map listed below, as well as a NO GRID version for people that prefer to set their own scale.  Grid sizes are 1" = 5' of gaming space.
  • Full Color Version – This is a printer intensive, full color version of this map.
  • Black and White version – A black and white version, meant to be the least printer intensive.
  • Plenty of modern day vehicles parked in the parking lot, giving your players options if they need to escape...so long as they can hotwire a vehicle, that is!
  • Daytime lighting complete with shadows to give the map depth.
  • VTT map included for online players that prefer a smaller map.

A small preview of the lounge and the back business areas.

Your characters in any contemporary game will need to stop off for a drink, a chat, follow up a lead or whatever - and they'll need a bar to do so. Not to mention that barroom brawls are not the sole perogative of fantasy parties... This is a fi [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
