There seems to be a couple of bookmarks that seem off. Is there anyway to unlock it so we can update the bookmarks?

Thanks for buying the book! I uploaded the book with no security at all so you should be able to cut, paste and so on as you see fit. I'm a bit baffled you can't modify the bookmarks. That said, when I opened my master copy, Adobe automatically opened it in read only format. If you save a new version of the book to your HAD that might solve the problem.

Thanks a great idea. I'll try again later when I get a chance. Off for work now. Thanks for your reply! Really good product. Would be especially great for sandbox campaigns.

How different is this from the Pathfinder version? Will you be doing a 5E compatible version, or is this system-neutral version good enough? Very tempted by it, even though the Deal of the Day doesn't seem to be working:

Thanks for your interest. I'm not planning a 5e edition at the moment (or in the next year or so) and this would be perfectly compatible with 5e--you'd just need to add your own skill checks and suchlike into any encounter you run with it.

I'm not sure what's going on with the Deal a Day feature as it was working a couple of hours ago. I'll manually change the price now.

Thanks! Alas, I was in the process of paying for it when it reverted to regular price. Another time, I guess.

The preview of the 1st 6 pages gives me nothing to judge the product on. I'm not willing to purchase something like this without a decent sample of the core material.

Good point and thanks very much for the suggestion. I've increased the preview to show the first 20 pages. I hope that helps!

This looks amazing. I'm sad I missed out when it was a deal of the day item. Having the first 20 pages made a huge difference in my opinion. I didn't want fluff I could make up on the fly without effort, and this isn't that. This is material I can use pregame, roll up the information I want and use it in game. Or use it during the game if my players suddenly leave the sewers that my whole adventure for the night was based upon and started walking around a metropolis I hadn't fully flushed out... beyond the sewers.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
