As gamers, our Saturday nights often revolve around dice. Sometimes, those dice are our tormentors - letting us down at the worst possible moment, or keeping us from succeeding in our endeavors time after time.

Thankfully, this is not one of those times!

The Critical Success is one of the highlights of any gaming night, and no great story is complete without the well-timed and much needed Crit. Your character manages to do the impossible, or at least the unthinkable, and the well-crafted plans of your GM/DM are laid to ruin before your mighty d20!

The following product gives you the tools to turn your drab old "your swing does double damage" routine into an exciting and often unpredictable triumph. From results that eviscerate your enemies, to Critical Successes that rally your allies and lend strength to their blows, these 47 tables are sure to deliver countless hours of fun.

Remember, all products in the '47 Series' line are d20 fantasy-based, but system neutral so you can easily adapt them to any game system you want!

Perfect for FANTASY games but not Traveller which is d6 based and primarily uses slug throwers and high energy weapons. I had hoped that this was truly universal for all the systems the author listed. But it is not.

However for those seeking hit-locate tables for a d20 based fantasy system it is worth a look.

Many apologies for Traveller being on the list Michael; that was an oversight on our part; we usually batch select 'd20 systems' and 'Fantasy'; that game should not have been one of those selected.

Ronald, thanks for the response. I play D&D as well and will buy all of the PDF's for my son in law to use. Are you intending to remove "Traveller" from the others as well?

Michael, I have removed "Traveller" from all supplements except for 47 Ways to Create Great NPCs for Your Campaign, as that role playing supplement can be used even in science-fiction settings. 47 Key Concepts for Inventing a Fantasy Race or Culture (except for the word 'Fantasy' in the title) is also purely a role playing/writer's supplement which can be used in any gaming or even literary genre; however due to Fantasy being in the title, I have removed it from Traveller as well. I really hope you and your son in law enjoy this series, Michael!

I want to point out that it is a similar case with Shadowrun -- Its a d6 system set in the far future. It looks like you still have it tagged as such.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
