100 Southern Roadhouse Hits
Scattered along the highways and back roads of the great American South is a motley collection of roadhouses, honky tonks, and dive bars. These are the kind of places where you can get drunk, get loud, make a pass at someone else’s partner, and end up in a messy brawl in the middle of the floor. As this sort of action plays on, you can always be sure that there’s some sort of soundtrack going on in the background– whether it be from a fussy old jukebox or a local cover band that specializes in classic rock mixed with a bit of country & western.  
This 100 list was created by someone who grew up in this sort of Southern culture and also managed to survive quite a few nights in such bars during his youth. The list contains a combination of 100 different country & western classics, mixed in with a generous sample of assorted classic/southern rock hits. Artist and name of song is provided for that GM that wishes to literally throw in the music during an encounter (whether this be by youtube, saved mp3 tracks, etc.). The music is primarily 70’s to 80’s, but there’s a sprinkling of other decades thrown in here and there. So dust off that cowboy hat you bought one year on vacation and get ready to offer the player characters some rowdy roadhouse mayhem!
