What would happen if the most ridiculous character you've ever created in a fantasy game became a god?
Chain of Being answers that question with a roleplaying game set in a fantasy world gone haywire. If you're the sort of person who loves to laugh a lot while roleplaying, Chain of Being is your game. In CoB, all of the traditional denizens of a fantasy realm, like knights and dragons, now have to compete for attention with the likes of aliens, superheroes, mechs, conspiracies, corrupt corporations, insane dungeon designers, people who know that their universe is really just a roleplaying game, and lots of other insanity. CoB is "anything goes" fantastic fiction.
This version of Chain of Being is in Limestone Publishing's house system, Higher Arc. Higher Arc features a mechanic based on ten-sided dice with a hierarchical skill development system, variable levels of success, and a logical and consistent method of resolving actions. Higher Arc is totally customizable, so as to allow players as much or as little rules complexity as they desire. It has no classes or levels, and it allows players maximum control over their characters.
CoB is also available in a d20 version for 3.0 D&D.
