In the 13th century, Stilton produced amazing cheese. Then the Church came and suddenly the cheese trade died out. Now it’s 1730 and the village of Stilton has started producing great cheese again.

You intend to find out why.

An adventure into darkest Cambridgeshire, for levels 1-3. Compatible with Lamentations of the Flame Princess and most other old fashioned Dungeons & Dragons clones. Issue #8 of The Undercroft, written and illustrated by Oli Palmer, with a cover by the inimitable Anxious P.

Reviews:

"The year is still young, but I'm confident in saying that Something Stinks in Stilton will be the best dairy-based D&D adventure of 2016. It may also be one of the best adventures for any systems with any subject that I read this year."

-Rob Monroe

"...a stinker of a dungeon, relatively short, but with a weird thread of body horror that is decidedly bovine in nature."

-Reviews from R'lyeh

"it reminds me of that weird BBC comedy series The League of Gentlemen starring Mark Gatiss... if the LotFP style is your thing, then I can confidently state that you'll probably enjoy Something Stinks in Stilton."

-Draconic Magazine

"...the ideas presented in Something Stinks in Stilton are original and very well done. Its worth the money and your time."

-Swords & Stichery

Ok, it was originally $7.32, on sale for $4.97, now it's on an extra special deal at $9.50?

Huh, odd. None of my doing but I'll see if I can straighten it out.

It's showing $3.03 now, so something was fixed. BTW, if you _ever_ see a technical problem with a product page, or the product itself, contact RPGNow/DriveThruRPG/etc. via the "Contact Us" link. The publishers don't get notified if/when there is a posting in "Discussions", so you (& he) were lucky the publisher was being vigilant.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
