Evernight Player's Guide

Evernight Player's Guide

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This is the first 40 pages of the Evernight game book for Savage Worlds, a 144-page hardback from Pinnacle Entertainment Group (www.peginc.com).

Purchasing this Player's Guide grants you, the Game Master, with a site license to print these pages for your entire group. No electronic distribution is authorized or implied.

Players may also purchase their own copy, of course, and we certainly appreciate the extra business!

Here's what Evernight is all about:

The world of Tarth was a bright and shining jewel. The Great Race Wars were long over, the people were free, and true evil had been scattered to the dark bowels of the earth.

The King of Valusia sat upon his throne and ruled his peaceful valley and its honest citizens with a firm yet fair grip. The future of Tarth was bright. Until they came. And the light went out forever.

Evernight is a very different kind of dark fantasy setting. This 144-page hardback book provides a complete scripted campaign, from before the arrival of the mysterious and terrifying Masters to the epic and bloody finish.

Player characters start as Novices in a familiar fantasy world of elves, dwarves, orcs, and men. They finish as Heroic adventurers in a land draped in eternal night and overwhelming horror. Evernight contains new Edges & Hindrances, spells, weapons, and magical items. The Game Master has a complete scene by scene campaign ready to run, the truth behind Tarth's murky past, and a host of new and mysterious monsters!

Evernight requires the Savage Worlds rule book, available at your favorite game store or online at WWW.PEGINC.COM.

Provides a good handout to players but has several large shortcomings. It still has all the typos in the printed book: Many of the sample characters have errors in them, some spells refer to the wrong templates, etc. Prepare to use some serious white-o [...]

It doesn't get any better than Evernight when it comes to adventuring! This was one of the most enjoyable campaign adventures we have done yet. And it is done in Savage Worlds, which makes it that much better.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b& [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
