Power Gamer's 3.5 Warrior Strategy Guide

Watermarked PDF

Kick Monster Butt

You're looking at the first strategy guide for the revised edition of the world's most popular role playing game. Let's be real -- the game's about combat, not charisma! This strategy guide gives you the strategies and techniques you need to win. It's like a football coach's playbook, or a video game champion's cheat codes. Feat combos, sneaky skill uses, multiclassing secrets, and abusing the rules: that's what it's all about.

Build the Perfect Warrior

Pick the wrong feats and you'll be pushing up daisies. Pick the right ones and you'll be racking up XP! This book is all about making the right decisions to build the perfect warrior. Whether you're a fighter, barbarian, ranger, paladin, or monk, if you're interested in combat, you'll learn how to max out your abilities.

Make the Right Decisions

Who has the better chance of hitting an AC 15 target: a 5th level fighter with a two-handed longsword, or a 5th level ranger with a longsword and shortsword? If your BAB is +7 and you're facing an AC 15 monster, how much of your attack bonus should you allocate to Power Attack? Does fighting defensively really help you live longer? When you're through with this book, you'll know the answers.

But Don't Tell the DM

Everything in this guide comes straight from the core rulebooks. It's 100 percent official material; all we do is tell you how to use it. But you don't want your DM to read this book. Just think, all these useful tips and suggestions in the hands of the guy who runs the monsters! Shudder. Keep this one tucked away or you'll regret it.

First of Its Kind

This book has no new rules, no new feats, and no new prestige classes. Instead, it brings to d20 the most popular book category of the video game industry: the strategy guide. The Power Gamer's 3.5 Warrior Strategy Guide tells fighters, barbarians, rangers, paladins, and monks how to make the right decisions to build the perfect warrior -- using only the 100 percent official rules presented in the PHB. Chock full of tables, charts, stats, and comparisons with all the number-crunching done for you, it's a first-of-its-kind product useable in ANY d20 campaign.

If you have spent any time reading the PHB you should not waste your time and money on this book. There is no real insight of information, the ideas given are so basic I can't beleive everyone who knows the game does not already now these tricks.<b [...]

Many players assume they know HOW to best tactically play their classes, but this book really strips out all the hype and lays it out statistically for you. The authors catagories characters by the type of melee combat they are best suite for - Heavy [...]

The Power Gamer?s 3.5 Warrior Strategy Guide is a book on how to make the strongest kind of combat character for your 3.5 Fantasy d20 game. As a note, this review was conducted based on the print version of the book, so PDF-specific information (such [...]

Very, Very useful guide to building a better warrior. Easy to read, printer freindly (although, weighing in at 98 pages, it can be a bit of a hassle), and the number crunching is done for you. I would definitly recomend this to anyonewho wants to rolep [...]

I don't like power-gaming guides. They're usually riddled with spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and sound like they're written by a rules lawyer with poor personal hygiene and a desperate need to be wanted. Moreover, they just seem to suck the lif [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
