Kev's Lounge Paper Minis: A Day at the Market (Basic Edition)

ADD TO WISHLIST >
Between clearing out dungeons and braving the wilderness, a party of adventurers needs to stop in at town to rest up and restock! Being within the walls of the city does not mean that the adventure is over though... There is a lot of room to throw in a challenging encounter while they're in the middle of their shopping sprees and this set includes a nice variety of merchant NPCs perfect for those situations!

Paper Minis - A Day at the Market Basic Group Shot
This set includes an apothecary who can supply the party with potions and oils, a herbalist who can mix up some poultices and remedies, a baker who can supply them with rations and food, a smith to do a variety of metal work and repairs and a pair of clerks who can help them out at any other store they land up in!
The figures are scaled to 28mm, and will look good alongside most popular brands of miniatures and all manner of 28mm scaled scenery. Each model has a distinctive front and back, and both sides feature rich and gorgeous detail. The detail is boosted by the high resolution of the PDF, and the colours have good contrast to make them pop at a distance!
The models are designed with removable bases. This set includes a set of interchangeable bases. Another bonus of this feature is that the flat components are really compact and very easy to store because they don't take up much room at all!

What's the difference between the Basic edition and the Deluxe edition?

The basic version includes just a single version of each mini, giving you 6 unique designs for a nice low price. The Deluxe edition has loads of customisation options allowing for a massive variety of minis, with tens of thousands of unique combinations.
If I have one, is it worth getting the other?
If you have the basic edition and want more, it's definitely worth getting the deluxe edition too. The minis in the basic edition have been specially created for the basic version so they are unique and can not be recreated with the options available in the deluxe version, so if you have both sets, neither is a waste.

See all the minis we have to offer here.

This is part of a growing collection of paper minis to bring life to your town adventures!

PURCHASER
Hi Kev
I have bought a few pdfer by you, A Day In The Market - Basic and A Night At The Tavern -Basic
And they look good but i don't like the black edge you make about your figures,
Is it possible that you could open the layers in the pdf so that it becomes possible to turn it on and off?
In the pdf there are 2 layers that are locked: UI and base, are they them?

Hi there!
I couldn't find another way to contact you!
I'm trying to find some neanderthal/cave men and some Pygmies. I need both male and female for depicting villages (kids too!)

Speaking of villages, it would be cool if you added "civilians" to your other lines, like Orcs, Goblins, etc. (particularly Goblins; I have role play scenarios for playing Goblins and I need girls...)

I've looked all over but can't find them and since you do such fine work, I thought you might get around to adding these to your repertoire, as it were. ;)

PUBLISHER
Hi Steve!

I actually do have plans for neanderthals, including "civilians" but that is only likely to come out next year some time. I hadn't considered Pygmies, but I have had some long standing plans to do a line based on the Zulu culture, again including non-combatants.

Eventually I'll have townsfolk for all the various humanoid races, but it's most likely that I'll release elves and dwarves first. I've already got a few figures started for the former. I do have plans to release some combat-focused goblins pretty soon though!

Thanks,
Kevin

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
