Description:

Highmoon Media Productions is proud to present Bardic Lore: Riastradh.

His mouth foamed as he tore the shirt from his back, and as he rushed forward to meet the mass of Sea Devils that had attacked us, he started to grow, taller than a house, wider than three bulls. His skin bubbled from within like tar bursting from the earth, and his muscles stretched into dimensions unnatural to humans. His right arm grew to the size of a thick oak tree trunk, and with every swing he slashed three Fomorians in half. His hair stood on end like a halo of spears, and from each tip burst a mist of blood and rage that choked any who came too close to him. One hundred Fomorian died that afternoon at the hands of Bran, the warped one, hero of Daingean, and I was never able to look at my foster brother the same way again.
?From the journal of Amergin ? M?l

Bardic Lore: Riastradh introduces the fantastic and terrifying heroic feat of the warp spasm to your d20 Fantasy game. Included are rules for creating a warped hero, the rules of the riastradh, new feats and the warped one paragon class, along with a fully-stated NPC and Bardic Lore information.

Very cool for any Celtic flavored game and cool for any game to be honest. The warp-spasm of Cú Chulainn is something that has been in the stories of the Ulster cycle, but never really implemented well in a game. This is a pretty good way to do it. I [...]

Riastradh is a product in Highmoon Media?s Bardic Lore series. Each PDF takes a different idea from Celtic mythology and applies it to D&D. The rules are presented with just enough history, plus a glazing of flavor text, to make them interesting and [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
