*Please see below for a message concerning the Dungeon Crawler and Windows 7.

The Dungeon Crawler is an integrated suite of tools for use with Dungeons and Dragons(r) and most OGL (Open Gaming License) content. Here are a few of the many things it can do for you: Generate a dungeon crawl adventure, room-by-room and encounter-by-encounter. Your group can play D&D(r) without a GM, or you can play it all by yourself. The same tools that allow you to explore and map a dungeon as you go can be used to generate endless combinations of rooms, corridors, treasures, encounters, NPC’s, and more.

At the click of button, the program tells you what the players see ahead. Each detail in the description can then be generated in further detail as the players look over what they’ve found. Encounters are displayed with full descriptions and combat information, and the program even conducts attack routines and saving throws, as well as imaginative critical and fumble results.

Among the things you can generate using this program:

Statues, alcoves, graves, corpses, altars, bridges, magic mouths, pedestals, shrines, keys, levers, ledges, pits, fountains, liquids (to fill those pits and fountains), poisons, doors, special doors, locks, traps, container traps, prison cells, names of all sorts (for NPCs, swords, demons, taverns, ships and more), tavern details (names, features, occupants, notable NPCs, rooms, drinks, food and more), battle cries, graffiti, passwords, blessings, curses, insanities, confusions, magical effects, book titles, missions, city shops (arcanist, alchemist, apothecary, bookseller, tinker, healer, herbalist, armorer, weaponsmith), city buildings (nearly 100 different types), city encounters, ships and watercraft… you get the idea.

For a tiny (but free) sample, check out Emerald Giant’s Names and Taverns collections.

Dungeon Crawler incorporates the open gaming content from most of the major releases for the d20 system (version 3 and .5) plus literally thousands of original and randomly-created monsters, treasures, traps and other items in a single easy-to-use interface, complete with an extensive Help feature. And with Microsoft Access(r) and some geekability, you can add your own material to the vast database accompanying this program.

Currently available for up to Windows XP on the PC.* The Dungeon Crawler program costs $20, and we have yet to charge a single dime for updates and enhancements. Bearing in mind that this program represents thousands of hours of programming, over 125 years of combined role-playing experience and an infinite love for the game, we think $20 is a very good price. What can we say, we’re great guys.

This program requires that the Java runtime environment be installed on your computer. How do you get the JRE installed? Go to this web address and hit the free download button:

* Microsoft(r) made a change in Windows 7 that caused the Dungeon Crawler and many other programs using Access databases to stop working. This issue does not affect everyone, but for those inconvenienced by it, a solution is on the way.  Stay tuned for the new, improved Dungeon Crawler, now in development.

Need dungeon maps? Don't have the time or patience to draw them? This program is the one you've been hoping to find.

EMG Mapper by Emerald Giant Games is the world's first and only randomized, grid-based dungeon map generation program.  It will create an endless number of line maps for you to fill with monsters, traps and treasure. Each map is randomly-generated based on a series of user-controlled variables, guaranteed 100% ready-to-use with no drawing required.  And it really works.  So go get it.

"This is by far the best dungeon mapping program that I have ever used."  Michael W.D. Sr.

You are cordially invited to be dinner....

Monster Hunt is a print-and-play monster survival game with a bite...or a claw, or a tentacle.  Possibly an ice sculpture or a chainsaw. Play as one of 40 potential victims as you work together or competively to leave the mansion alive, one way or another.  Endless replayability and fun, plus morphing monsters and a lovely sense of impending doom.  Monster Hunt: Haunted Mansion will scare you, make you laugh, and possibly solve the riddles of the Ancients.  That last one is doubtful, though.  Just play the game, you'll like it.

Yes, it does what it says on Windows XP- you can set up a dungeon crawl. There was a lot of hard work put into creating Dungeon Crawler, but the program feels and looks a bit dated for 2013. It reminds me of Diamond Mind Baseball- a text sim with a lot of [...]

Very good software. I am planning on using it in all my fantasy games from now on. I don't think there could be higher praise. That being said, I would like to see more non dungeon stuff...

Dungeon Crawler does, pretty much, what it?s selling. You can use it to loosely generate a hack-and-slash session of D&D. You will need to have your Players handbook for weapon stats, skills, feats, special abilities etc for your PC and the GM Guide f [...]

Scanned image book
