This collection contains: 1001 Awkward Art Objects, 1001 Hopeful Hirelings, 1001 Perilous Places, 1001 Perplexing Potions, plus the special 1001 Battered Books which is only available in this bundle. You get five 1001 Things collections for the price of four, including a unique collection.

This special bundle product contains the following titles.

1001 Awkward Art Objects
Regular price: $1.50
Bundle price:
 $1.50
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
With 1001 Awkward Art Objects, getting the treasure back to town can be harder than winning it! These objects are sometimes heavy, sometimes delicate, and sometimes just immense, but all of them are more inconvenient than a sack of gold coins and a pocket full of gems. And all of them, of course, are therefore much more interesting than coins and gems that are little more than abstract numbers.
1001 Battered Books
Regular price: $1.50
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
1001 Battered Books gives you names and descriptions for books of all kinds, with titles, descriptions, writing type and language, damage done to them, and even bookmarks. They can stock whole libraries or just fill the packs of wandering booksellers. Even Gnomish Lyric Poetry is more interesting when it has a detailed description!
1001 Hopeful Hirelings
Regular price: $1.50
Bundle price:
 $1.50
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
1001 Hopeful Hirelings are looking for work, and the work they want is to make your game more interesting! There are numerous reasons your players might want to hire someone, from men-at-arms to laborers. Now they have choices, some good and faithful, some disloyal, some just plain crazy, complete with the details that you can put together to create character background.
1001 Perilous Places
Regular price: $1.50
Bundle price:
 $1.50
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
"Some cave somewhere" isn't nearly as evocative as the Caverns of Despair, near the Forest of Madness, between the Glacier of Creeping Bone and the Gulf of Desolation. With 1001 Perilous Places you will have a thousand and one names for dungeons and adventure locations, ready to use in an instant or to inspire your design creativity.
1001 Perplexing Potions
Regular price: $1.50
Bundle price:
 $1.50
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
No more boring-looking potions! Here are descriptions of 1001 Perplexing Potions not made by Big Magica: their containers, their consistency, their color or colors, and even the type and accuracy of their labels, are as unique as their creators. They also work well for descriptions of other liquids, such as drinks in a spaceport bar.

Total value: $7.50 Special bundle price: $6.00 Savings of: $1.50 (20%)

Look for more things in the 1001 Things series, with convenient, ready-to-use items for your roleplaying games.

The Bundle costs more than the total of its parts...

Now that's weird. I have no idea how the system came up with that number. There is no way those numbers go together to do that. And it hasn't always been that way; I'd have noticed.

I'll go poke at it and see if I can make it make sense. Meanwhile, the pricing still works correctly -- if you've bought the four available Things separately (even if you got them on sale), that pays for the bundle and you get the fifth one (1001 Battered Books) free. It's just displaying weirdly.

Update: I did nothing more than change the price of the Battered Books *to itself* and the numbers went back to what they should be. I have no clue what's happening here, but it's correct now.

I still don't know how the system multiplied $1.50 times 4 and came up with $5.54.

Thanks for letting me know about this. Now I'd better check all the other bundles!

The others were fine, which is why this stuck out so bad.
Speedy delivery on the fix.
I guess I have to buy it now!

Well, I'm in favor of that. :) But I may have a teeny bit of bias here.

Interesting sidenote here...
DTRPG is NOT showing that I own any of the items in the 4 big bundles I just purchased except for the items I had already bought previously.
Would you know how I need to fix that for future reference?

Let me understand: You bought several Things previously and you're not getting credit for their purchase in the bundle? Or you got credit, but only those items are listed as purchased, and other titles from the bundles are showing as not purchased?

We may want to take this to email (there's a "contact" link up on the left) -- this comment section is not the most practical venue for sorting out technical problems, and this may be a DTRPG thing that I'll need to CC my publisher service rep on.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
