ANy more info on what system this rpg uses or how it plays? Preview isn't too helpfull, so what pulls this apart from other rpg's?
D20 based?

I guess some form of better overview of the world/system and perhaps playable races/classes could go a long way to have a better grasp what to expect.

Hey i was just skimming through the pdf and i noticed there is art of dragon and lizard people in it but no signs of a dragon or lizard people race in the race chapter, did you accidentally upload an old draft of the pdf on release or you have them planned in an update? or do you have no intentions of having them and they just looked cool for illustrations or I just missed them as I did say I have so far skimmed this pdf.

Hi Nelson!

First, let me thank you for taking a chance on our first publication! It really means a lot ^_^

To answer your question, I think I know the painting you're talking about. On page 8 there is a vignette for Chapter 2: Making Characters featuring a humanoid draconic guy. And yeah, he's cool looking, isn't he? His name is General Aethegh del kava Nathlakanga, and he's a member of a race known as Silith - thralls of the dragons on Ember, and they're not intended as a playable race. More information about them will be released in an upcoming campaign guide. With that said, there's no reason your group couldn't work something up for play if you wanted, but our playtesting found them to be really unbalanced and not a lot of fun for everyone else; they just work better as monsters.

The Selah on page 64 are a naga/snake-like race that ARE available for play ^_^. They share a lot of personality characteristics with the Silith, but they're not so overpowered as to ruin the...See more

As a real human, I do indeed enjoy this piece of literature with all my human senses, Sight, Scent, Taste, Flerg, Hearing, and Xolotolatianarianism. This is great. Alan is very cool.

This is amazing, Alan Wortman has put so much time and effort into making this world feel so alive and real (it's almost creepy how realistic it is). He does such a great job into the detail of every character, race, class, weapon, and item. I cannot recommend this more to anyone who loves a good Pen and Paper RPG. I'm exited to see what he is working on next.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
