Guiding Light TM is a series of books and pdfs designed
to translate religions into a medium that
is more suitable for role-playing games.
The series, Gods of War, offers new interpretation
of iconic gods and goddessses. It also portrays them in
a culturally-neutral environment so that they may be
more easily incorporated into a variety of campaigns.
Our first book in the series, Set, investigates the
ancient Egyptian god and gives two sides to his very
mysterious nature. Set was a god who fell out of favor
with his people. Perhaps his falling was the result of
politics. Perhaps it was due to the changing culture, or
perhaps because of an unfortunate natural event. This
book shows how strongly Set was perceived, and how
the extremes of both love and hate can often be very
close - almost like brothers.
