A prominent archeologist is found murdered and the mummy he recently brought back from Egypt has disappeared from the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. The PCs are called in to solve the murder and find the missing mummy!

The Mummy's Revenge is the first adventure for Adamant Entertainment's Thrilling Tales line of pulp products for modern D20.

Written by Jeb Boyt (author of the Mesmerist Advanced Class for Thrilling Tales), this 20-page adventure is intended for a group of 3rd - 5th level heroes, and features details so that it can be played as either a puzzling murder mystery, or a spine-tingling tale of supernatural suspense!

This particular adventure sets the players up to investigate the mysterious death of an Archaeologist and the disappearance of the mummy he'd brought back to the museum in NYC. This is a pretty classic set-up and sounds less intriguing than it actually [...]

A mystery with a possible supernatural twist to keep the players guessing. While written for d20, it can easily be adapted to any other mechanics as the adventure provides all the npcs, their motivations, and possible innocence or guilt. What MAY be a [...]

A well written invetigative adventure, somewhat light in action for a pulp adventure, and all the action is end loaded (ie. at the end of the adventure). As a change in pace in a traditional pulp campaign this would serve really well. If run as a one [...]

Solid adventure, with plenty of hooks and space for customization if you want. In fact, this is two adventures in one, as the events can have either a mundane or supernatural explanation, and only the last encounter really changes.<br><br> [...]

The spirit of the Pulp Era is alive and well with THRILLING TALES! I am not a 'd20' fan, but I purchased this for other Pulp rules.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: The adventure!<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: N/A<br&gt [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
