Book of Jalan RPG
MSRP: $10.00
BUNDLE PRICE: $7.00

Based on the popular StarCluster RPG, The Book of Jalan is a self-contained game set on the world of Jalan, an isolated planet in the Star Cluster. It is much like Earth during the Renaissance, with its great wooden sailing ships, black powder guns and cannon, fencing, alchemy, and tantalizing experiments into steam power.

But there is something odd about Jalan. Its people have changed and developed over a million years, free from extraplanetary influence, because the entire world is under quarantine. And there is a reason. For unlike any other race in the Star Cluster, Jalan's inhabitants have evolved magic of their own.

The Book of Jalan uses the Starcluster 2 system, a character-oriented d100 system. The magic/PSI system is free-form and skill based, with a separation betw...

StarCluster 2 - Papageniopolis Station
MSRP: $3.00
BUNDLE PRICE: $2.00

Papageniopolis Station is a small town in space, the property of the Papageniopoulos family, and a tiny independent state.
The station was built out of junk, not only the flattened wrecks of hull metal molded and welded into shape, but built on the proceeds of scavenging a rich and populous system.
A small fleet of tugs and ships roam the system, gleaning the wreckage of others' misfortune.
At the station, they slap the bits and scraps together until they've fashioned a new - well maybe not new - spaceship, selling it far cheaper than anyone else can afford to.
It's ugly, yes, and every product is one-of-a-kind, but they're solidly built, and they work, and they're - well - cheap.

Papageniopolis Station contains information on the stati...

StarCluster 2 Guide to Cluster Religions
MSRP: $3.00
BUNDLE PRICE: $2.25

What the heck? A Science Fiction guide to religion? Everybody in SF is an atheist or agnostic, right? Nobody in the future will have any religions!

OK, so we're crazy. We did it anyway.
In the StarCluster, many of the old religions of earth have been warped and twisted, shattered and combined in the face of the Diaspora and destruction of Earth, and the separation of cultures during the long centuries without Jump travel. The StarCluster Guide to Cluster Religions offers a comprehensive view of the major and influential religions of the Cluster.

Included are such faiths as Grand Catholicism, Cyberlegal Islam (Ahl al-Fiq), Taiping Mormonism, Transhuman Theonarcissism, Old Order Atheism, and many more.

Also included is a separate section on the Cluster's Humano...

StarCluster 2 Guide to Starship Crew
MSRP: $3.00
BUNDLE PRICE: $2.25

The StarCluster 2 Guide to Starship Crew focuses in on the most important part of any starship: her crew.
A crew on a starship is not just a group of individuals doing their job.
The ideal starship crew is almost a family, a tightly knit team of specialists, each working for and with the others in a synergy.
The crew live together in cramped quarters for years at a time, and personality is as important, if not more important, than expertise.
The starship is their home as well as their office, their playground as well as their workspace.
This Guide covers the crew at work and at play, because the play bonds them more tightly into the team, as the work provides them with a focus.

The Guide to Starship Crew features 15 crew professions. It also...

StarCluster 2 Robot Design Guide
MSRP: $5.00
BUNDLE PRICE: $4.00

The StarCluster 2 Robot Design Guide features a flexible, component-based system for creating robots for your StarCluster 2 game. The Guide allows you to select brains, torsos, manipulators, locomotors, surfaces, senses, and skill programs for your robot. Sentient (self-aware) robots can be created and used for player characters or NPCs. Some robot brains are self-programming, learning skills by doing, as any player character does. There are also abberations, glitches in the programming, which can make each robor unique. Robots can look totally humanoid or utterly bizarre as you choose. Robot parts can be used as prosthetics to replace damged, destroyed, or worn out limbs, and robots can house the soul of a humanoid.

We are taking the gloves off now.

StarCluster 2 Weapon Design Guide
MSRP: $2.00
BUNDLE PRICE: $1.50

The StarCluster 2 Weapons Design Guide gives you a system to modify weapons to give different ranges, damage, ammo, and other parameters, while still retaining a balanced weapon. With the Weapon Design Guide, you can make an assault rifle tailored for the DC Marines, or perhaps a long-rage, highly accurate assassin's tool. You decide what specific parameters are important to you, and compromise on the others.

In the Weapons Design Guide, the GM can tailor specific weapons for the culture and environment the PCs will be in. No more going to the gun store to get an automatic pistol. Now your PCs can go to Huang Fortunate Star Outfitters on Warren and buy a Seven Sons Model 22-8 Revolver, AKA "The Reaper."

Flexible and fun weapon design from Better Mousetrap Games. <...

StarCluster Antigravity Guide
MSRP: $1.50
BUNDLE PRICE: $1.00

The StarCluster Antigravity Guide is an in-depth technical paper on the physics of anti/artificial gravity. The Guide discusses the parameters of the antigravity field effect and its uses in the StarCluster. Opening the Guide is a discussion of A-Grav plates, and how they can be stacked to compensate for field attenuation. The field itself, its region of effect, direction, and modulation, are brought up next. Uses of the field for propulsion, suspension, and attraction are explored, including such details as power consumption, footprint, and near-surface field effects. Antigravity is the key technological breakthrough at Tech Level 9, allowing everything from the safe handling of anti-matter to dry toilets. Specific examples of A-Grav use are used as examples including gravitic grapples, f...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
