Do not let the retro look of this book fool you. It is perhaps the largest of its kind ever published specifically dealing with magic "Weapons and Armor. Originally designed for use with old school games like D&D this updated PDF version may also be used with viturally all role-playing game systems. (That use magic items.) Over 1000 unique item descriptions, 15 categories of items with over 70 subclasses of items. Many items not found in other books hence it name "Forgotten" Magical items. Categories include: Armor, Arrows, Axes, Barding, Bows, Daggers, Flails, Hammers, Helmets, Lances, Maces, Pole Arms, Shields, Spears, Swords. Most of which may be randomly divided into subclasses. (Type of sword, or armor.) Thousands and thousands of different combinations are possible! Item descriptions, and random generation charts are divided in to power classes ranging from the barely magical to near relic power. (So GMs can control how much magic they choose to unleash upon their world.) All items are also assigned a Gold Piece and Experience Point base-number that may be modified by GM as needed for their specific game system.
This book also includes a 100 Monster Random Generation Chart. (For weapons of slaying and polymorphing.) A Body Part Severance chart. (For extra sharp weapons.) Simplified ego, intelligence and alignment charts. (For extra intelligent weapons, and cursed items.) Optional "Great Weapon" Rules for those born to big for normal weapons.
