Need a place for your PCs to hide from the authorities after a run's gone bad? Extracting hostages from a bombed out city in a wargaming scenario? Trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world? You're going to need surroundings to set the mood, hide behind and (of course) shoot through!

You need Future Worlds: Concrete Wastelands. Concrete Wastelands is a modular set of damaged walls and ground/floor mats perfect for any encounter set in an area that's been visited by a bit of devestation. Whether you're looking for scenery for the bombing of Berlin, contemporary encounters, near future or science fiction, Concrete Wastelands will do you proud.

What you get with Future Worlds: Concrete Wastelands:

  • 2 Corner Wall sections (each with two variations)
  • 2 Wall Sections (each with two variations)
  • 2 Wall Sections with Doorways (each with two variations)
  • 2 Wall Sections with Windows (each with two variations)
  • 4 Doors
  • 4 Internal Concrete Textures (with 1 inch grid overlay)
  • 4 External Concrete Textures (with 1 inch grid overlay)
  • A bonus Landing Pad Texture

That's a total of 29 different items at less than 21 cents per item (and of course you can print as many as you need) making Concrete Wastelands excellent value.

The scenery in Concrete Wastelands has been designed to be built using standard 80gsm letter or A4 paper so you can use your normal printer paper and is scaled to standard 25-28mm miniatures. As with all Arid Hill Productions work, the artwork is all 300dpi resolution so you can get the most detail out of you model.

And remember: Future Worlds - As real as you can make it!

Great set of templates. I'm using this product to create outlines on styrofoam. A bit more weight and it looks great. [...]

I think this a very nice set of wall ruins that fits in well with any futuristic combat games and rpgs. Not my first choice because of the price, but the solid concrete wall effect is a nice alternative to all the metal textures that are available for [...]

This is an absolutely a great set. I've used in historical gaming as well as sci -fi . Using black foamcore produces a realistic and durable set of ruin models. [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
