ADD TO WISHLIST >

It is said that the earth loves the dwarves as much as the dwarves love the earth.  While many races can lay claim to being protectors of the natural world, only the dwarves truly share a spiritual affinity with the spirits of earth and stone.  For only the dwarves possess a tiny fragment of a destroyed Earth Djinn within their souls.

Karmic Races: Dwarves brings you a unique look at one of fantasy gaming's favorite races.  Carved from stone on the Elemental Plane of Earth, the dwarves have spread across the cosmos.  This compact PDF provides a wealth of information regarding their origins on the Elemental Plane of Earth, their unique physiology, and more.  Discover four sub-races and their amazing powers:

The Dwarrow:  considered the "true" dwarves, the Dwarrow are the most prevalent of the dwarven races.

The Davlinn: These mystical dwarves can call upon the spirits of earth and stone for aid, and are rumored to be the children of dwarves and earth elementals.

The Dweorg:  A mysterious sub-race with the ability to meld into the earth, the Dweorg recognize the need for strength, but value knowledge most of all.

The Vargran:  A strange sub-race with the ability to turn their own body into living steel, the reside deep in the earth away from the surface world.

The majority of this product is written in a system-nuetral manner, so you can take the ideas and incorporate them into your own games.  With ideas and story concepts for using dwarves in fantasy and modern campaigns, four different sub races, dwarven specific medical conditions, and advice on what to consider when adjusting your current game mechanics, Karmic Races: Dwarves brings a fresh perspective to this  fantasy favorite.

This product also includes a look at some of the race creation rules for the upcoming Karma Roleplaying System, including information about the powers used to build the four subraces in this product.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
