Description:
The maps in this document are samples created by the EMG Mapper computer program for the PC. The EMG Mapper generates an endless variety of maps using a simple set of options. You control the density of the map, the type and frequency of exits (doors, archways, secret doors, etc), room sizes, how many staircases, the number of squares per inch, and a host of other features. Want to make a maze? Use these settings:
Rooms 0%, Corridors 100%
Doors 0%, Openings 100%
Now you’ve got a map with nothing but an interconnecting nightmare of corridors. Experiment with other options until you get a map with the right feel. Want lots of circular rooms? How about lots of small triangular rooms with tons of secret doors? It’s up to you. You can also choose basic starting configurations, such as placing matching rooms in each corner of the map or generating a corridor that surrounds your entire dungeon. The EMG Mapper allows maps to be previewed and printed in whatever colors suit you, and several classic options are provided for ease of use.
If you happen to purchase this reasonably priced software, you could generate maps all day, save them, and print them at your leisure. And if you’re interested in generating more than maps, check out the free Dungeon Crawler Collections. Enough advertising. Enjoy the maps.
