OSRPG CCG Template 2

ZIP File

Create cards for your favorite RPG and play using the Open Source RPG Collectible Card Game Rules.

This is the second template in the Open Source RPG Collectible Card Game we are releasing.  With this template developers can create their own Locales for use with the OSRPG CCG.

We remain in ALPHA!  The current (from this product release) rules set is in the ALPHA 1.0.3 stages with adjustments made to the flow of combat and the introduction of the Standardized Resource Cost (SRC) PDF.

The card templates for the Open Source Collectible Card Game are more then a CCG.  The cards themselves are a supplement to the game.  If you have purchased the Template 1 you can make a deck of Monsters or NPCs that you can use as a Random Generator.  With the release of Template 2 you can now turn your adventuring locations into easy to carry cards that hold vital information.

Once the Quest Card template is released developers can easily port around a lengthy adventure, Monsters and NPCs the players may meet, and even Locations the players would need to investigate.  The cards also act as a full fledged Collectible Card Game allowing you to take an adventuring party and challenge a friend.

With this release I have also released a set of Promo Cards along with an Open Office Document that should help you turn your printer into a CCG Printing Press.  You can find download the Promo Cards for free with the document.

What is the Open Source RPG CCG?

The Open Source RPG (OSRPG) CCG is a card game that allows players to play their favorite RPGs in using a new set of rules.  The cards will also be usable as a visual aid for table top play, or as a condensed version of your favorite game to play on the go.

The current OSRPG CCG rules set is in an Alpha stage and will be available as a free document.

OSRPG CCG is a new card game that offers more then just a Collectible Card Game.  The cards themselves are a supplement that can be added to your adventures, used as a random generator, and still more.  The OSRPG CCG Rules set will allow players to turn their favorite adventures into easy to carry cards that can be played on the go.  The Rules Set uses a head to head competitive style of play, or the players can cooperate to complete quests.

What you can do with this template:

With this template you can make your own cards for trade and play.  This card will represent the Monsters, NPCs, Player Cards, and the Level cards for the OSRPG CCG; but they may also be used as  quick reference cards during table top play of your favorite RPG.  Because this product is a template, and becuase the OSRPG CCG rules set is not system specific, players of all RPGs can make use of this template.

Please DO NOT:

  • Sell your creations.
  • Widely distribute your creations (on web pages, torrents torrents)
  • Share the template with others

What you get:

  • A ZIP with a layered .XCF (The GIMP) File for easy maniuplation
  • A trademarked card background with artwork by Sade and John Milner.
  • A set of Graphic Objects to place your game information

If you are a developer and you are interested in making cards for sale with this template, a resellars license will be available to you for $5.00 for a 100 card set.  That's $0.05 a card!

Indie developers may purchase one template for their organization, but please make repurcahses later and please watermark your background.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
