Encounters Series 5: Succubus Seduction

Watermarked PDF

A single session combat and roleplaying encounter suitable for four characters of 5th-7th level using the d20 v3.5 ruleset.

A hub of many roads, the small town of Guildthorp has long been an important waypoint for trade. But the working classes have been growing restless, and the Merchants' Guild are using them ever harder and harsher. In this potent mix has appeared a succubus intent on subtly sowing as much chaos as possible - can our intrepid adventurers uncover her secret before it is too late?

It happens to every GM sooner or later - the players pick up on an irrelevant detail and follow it like a plot hook, or unexpectedly reveal the villain's secret identity too early, or get a hostage killed that they really should have rescued; suddenly, the plot is up in the air, and even the best GM needs some breathing space to work out where to go next. So, let CORVUS LUNARIS take up the slack!

When you need something to fill in a session; add a little extra, dangerous flavour to spice up the game; or just want to relax for a while and leave the next session's preparations to someone else, look for CORVUS LUNARIS's ‘Encounters' series. Designed to take up around 3-5 hours of gaming, with options to draw it our longer if required, these encounters are fully comprehensive - complete with tactics for combat, suggestions for inserting them into your campaign, a breakdown of the aftermath of the encounter including notes on possible plot hooks if you, as GM, want them, and a ready-to-print scale battlegrid for miniatures combat!

Ah, the succubus. A sex-symbol from time immemorial, she’s also a warning to those who would readily fornicate, since she takes your soul if you lie with her. Such imagery, painted in the broadest strokes, lends itself very well to any sort of genre, [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
