Zombie Apocalypse (audio product)

The dead are taking the city. The teeming dead walk the streets, the living falling back or dying in a futile attempt to protect what is theirs. Police sirens, ambulance sirens, air raid sirens, car alarms and domestic burglar alarms, every artificial wail that indicates human disaster is going off somewhere. But what you hear are the screams. People are backing themselves into corners, falling behind, or being wounded by their comrades and left for the dead. The groans of the dead raise in pitch as they swarm over each new victim. There is a tearing of flesh, a crunching of bone, then they resume their steady progression. Some people try to make their way to the harbor where they Navy is waiting to shuttle survivors away. No one is going to make it. The circling jets carry enough napalm to level the city. You can only hope the fire wipes out the infection. If not, every city in the country is going to be like this. Industrial rock with zombie apocalypse sound effects. Great for... well... zombie games, of course! Music by Mike Trapp, sound design by Cody Greenberg

Sonic Legends soundscapes are a blend of music and sound effects specially designed to enhance tabletop and live-action roleplaying games. The music provides an emotive backdrop that helps your players get into the right mood, and the sound effects give you a realistic sonic environment to set your scene in. Each soundscape is approximately eight to ten minutes in length, and shifts to naturally follow a dramatic storyline. The best part is that each soundscape is seamlessly loopable, so there's no limit to how long your scene has to be! Just download your Sonic Legends soundscape to your mp3 player or laptop, turn up your speakers and GAME ON!

Sound loop is good but it's only one track with a length of 10 minutes. Still the one file is good and atmospheric and it may blend into your Zombie Survival Horror game playlist perfectly. But it would do even better if it where split up in several tr [...]

Oh, I really like this one. It's pretty subtle for a zombie apocalypse and manages not to be cheesy. [...]

An eerie ethereal beginning soon gives way to a driving beat overlaid with sound effects like sirens, helicopter rotors, police announcements, groans, growls, and screams as the zombies overwhelm an urban center. With electric guitars, a strong beat, [...]

I'm amazed at how good this is. I was expecting some weak crap that sounds like it came off an 80s video game soundtrack, and it was quite good. I could really see myself breaking this out for a night of All Flesh Must Be Eaten. I enjoyed it enough tha [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
