A haft of bronze bent to resemble a lightning bolt. When thrown, it reveals its true identity; it is lightning in its purest form.
At the dawn of time, the Titan Cronus devoured all his children, save the youngest, Zeus. After Zeus grew he freed his brothers and sisters from Cronus, and together the younger Olympian gods went to war against the Titans. During this war, cyclopses forged weapons for the gods, most notably Hades’ Helm of Darkness, Poseidon’s Trident, and Zeus’s Lightning Bolt. These weapons helped the Olympians triumph over the Titans, and they became the gods’ signature weapons.
After the war, Zeus took dominion over the skies and became king of the gods. His lightning bolt became not just his weapon, but a sign of his power. He rarely lends it, and only for specific quests. Anyone who would dare steal his lightning bolt risks the wrath of Zeus and all of Mount Olympus.
