Description:
For years, tabletop role-playing games have been expanding and growing into ever-changing genres and sub-genres. After a while, there are so many products and so many sub-genres that trying to find just the right one can become overwhelming. So what do you do when you want to find a new game to play?
The Gamers' Guide to Tabletop Role-playing Genres helps to give Gamemasters and Players an idea of what genres and sub-genres are available and what products reside within them. It is not meant to define the genres and sub-genres, but rather help Gamemasters and Players better understand them. There is a landslide of published material for a multitude of genres and sub-genres that it's almost impossible to list every single one. But the effort has been made to research and find as many fully developed systems and settings as possible. This list omits the landslide of d20 sourcebooks that do not pertain to fully developed settings.
Please note that new editions will be published yearly.
The 3rd Edition of The Gamers' Guide to Tabletop Role-playing Genres includes:
- New systems and settings released since the 2nd Edition
- New digest layout for easier reading on tablet PCs and eReaders
- New front cover (and rear cover)
