Dim Spirit: Curse of the Golden Spear Part 2 (PFRPG)

Danger lurks with the Forests of Kaidan ...

Traveler Beware!

You came to Kaidan, escorting a merchant and the gift he carried, a gift meant for a powerful Kaidanese lord. Yet with the gift delivered, and the merchant's daughter rescued, your troubles are only just beginning. Kaidan is cursed, and now that you are within its borders you discover that not even death will release you from the Islands’ powerful grip. As new horrors continue to present themselves, you must ask, do you have what it takes to survive the Curse of the Golden Spear

The second of a three part campaign, Dim Spirit is an adventure set in the cursed land of Kaidan and is suitable for a group of 6th level characters. Drawing inspiration from Japanese folklore, and fully compatible with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Kaidan is a land of horror and mystery. In Kaidan, demons stalk the land in human form, the dead seldom rest easy, and life is cheap. This adventure continues the story which began in The Gift, introducing players and game masters alike to the cursed realm of Kaidan.

Thanks for the update Steven. Looking forward to the updated file though unfortunately it will be too late for me, as I'm running the adventure today. The adventures are excellent so perhaps I will run again with a different group sometime.

Sorry, Simon I did get your email of the 23rd, and was waiting to contact you once I had heard back from the layout artist, on what is going on, with the layout of the files, as this was not an error with the manuscript from the original author, once i have an update it will be uploaded.

I also found some further missing information via the Paizo website here: http://www.gamer-printshop.com/gift/missing-pages.pdf

I've been particularly disappointed by the poor editing and layout errors in this document. Despite trying to contact both Rite Publishing and the author, no updates to the original document have been made. Several pages are missing from the file and it seems rather suspicious to me that all the reviews have 5-star ratings with these serious errors.
Luckily, I have tracked down the author's upload of the missing pages via the Google+ Community for Kaidan: http://www.gamer-printshop.com/gift/dim-spirit-missing.pdf
Poor show not to update the file itself here when so many other publishers regularly update their PDFs.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
