Description:

Double, Double, Toil and Trouble!

A Necromancer's Grimoire: Secrets of the Witch provides a wide variety of new content for anyone who likes witches, including new hexes, alternate familiar special abilities, and a number of new and interesting feats. Further, it provides a new 20-level base class for characters interested in playing as a green hag, which grants them all the powers of a normal green hag over the first eleven levels, and then grants new green-hag-themed abilities for the remainder of the class.

The book isn't just for witches, however, and its main focus is something any arcane spellcaster can appreciate: a wide array of feats and spells designed to allow spellcasters to form covens-groups of spellcasters who work together to collaboratively cast spells. Though casting as a coven requires some effort, it allows casters to master far more powerful spells than they would be able to on their own.

From the makers of Advanced Arcana Volume I and The Ebon Vault: Orbs of Power, A Necromancer's Grimoire: Secrets of the Witch provides you with rules for playing a green hag character, everything you could want to customize and flesh out your witch, rules for casting spells as a coven, and 30 new spells designed to be cast collaboratively, and makes a fine addition to any mage's library.

This book offers up the Green Hag as a playable race for the Witch class. Sort of. It is more of a race-as-class, but close enough to the witch to work. Anyone that played D&D back in the late 70s will have no issues with this really. There are also [...]

This review was first published in G*M*S Magazine and written by Thilo Graf. This pdf is 40 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page SRD and 1 page back cover, leaving 36 pages of content, so let’s check it out! After an IC-introdu [...]

The most flavorful class to come out of the Advanced Player’s Guide is, in my opinion, the witch. With hex powers and a familiar that’s more than window dressing, along with the rather spooky theme about their patron granting them power, the witch [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
