Description:
What is scarier than a horde of zombies, more destructive than a dragon, and more vindictive than a Drow Matriarch? A politician at election time.
Politicians is a slightly tongue-in-cheek supplement for 3.5/OGL game systems that presents the Politician Class as both a useful NPC class or a completely viable PC support class. This 16 page supplement provides a detailed overview of the class, how it would fit into a fantasy world, how to run elections, and more. Also includes twenty-three unique feats and four sample NPCs.
Sample feats:
CHURCH AND STATE [General]
Prerequisite: Ability to cast 3rd-level divine spells, Fundamentalist, Spell Penetration
Both heretics and traitors should be afraid of you.
Benefit: Your spells are more potent against individuals that are not members of your Favored Bases. If the target follows a deity other than yours, but has the same alignment, the Saving Throw versus your spells increases by 1. If the deity's alignment differs from your patron deity's alignment on either the law/chaos or good/evil axis, the Saving Throw difficulty increases by 2. If the deity's alignment is diametrically opposed on both the law/chaos and good/evil axis, the Saving Throw difficulty increases by 3. This Feat has no affect on individuals that are members of your Favored Base, or creatures that do not have a patron deity.
NOT INTENDED TO BE FACTUAL [General]
Prerequisite: Cha 14
Your Base trusts you so completely that even when you deliberately make up statistics, they accept what you say as being theoretically truthful even if it is not factually truthful.
Benefit: Even when proven wrong, you do not suffer a penalty to your Name Recognition Score for being caught in a lie or making false or misleading statements. You also get a +2 bonus to Bluff and Diplomacy checks, and Perform checks made during a debate.
