Fold-N-Go: Castle Kit #1

Multiple File Formats

Great battles beneath watchtowers.

Epic struggles to take a fortress.

Desperate attempts to hold the gate.

All of these endeavors have greater meaning when your characters are fighting for more than lines on a map drawn with a dry-erase pen. Give the players something they can look at with awe and desire, something that inspires them to act like heroes instead of just thinking about the next action.

Each Castle Kit #1 contains:

  • 1″, 2″, 4″, 6″ long walls in both 2″ and 2.5″ tall versions
  • Angled walls in both 2″ and 2.5″ tall versions
  • Portcullis in 2″ and 2.5″ tall versions
  • Gates in both 2″ and 2.5″ tall versions
  • 2″x2″ tower, 3″ tall
  • 3″x3″ tower, 3″ tall
  • Parapets options for all walls
  • 1″x2″x2″ tall stairs
  • 2″x4″ bunk house
  • 3″x7″ main building
  • 2″x2″ storage shed / armory
  • Beacon mound w/ stairs and wood pile.
  • Grass and optional cobblestone path base tiles

Never settle for silhouettes again. Give them the Castle Kit from Lone Tree Games, and don't be surprised when your players bring their own flag to fly from the battlements!

This second installment of Rite Publishing's relatively new Lone Tree imprint focusing on glueless paper models is ambitious to say the least: This time, we don't get the tools to build a modular dungeon, but rather the tools to assemble a full-blown [...]

Castle Kit #1 is a very modular set of paper terrain pieces for building a fantasy or medieval castle. The included pieces are very standard for a castle including the main building and bunk house. The kit does not contain a defined layout as the pieces [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
