Wyash crouched and pressed old fingers to the still soft ground. It had rained recently, but these tracks were unmistakable; goblins. And lots of them. He squinted across the trail towards broken twigs here and a kicked over stone there and frowned; there was something else, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Standing upright with a barely perceptible grunt the venerable hunter straightened the bow on his back absent mindedly and scratched a bearded chin. They would not believe this at the village, of that he was sure; they never listened to him and talk of goblins would only induce even more incredulity. goblins? This far East? Preposterous! He could hear the laughter now and grimaced. Still, the tracks were clear and he had to report it to someone; goblins in these parts could only mean trouble.
