"The possibilities for both PCs and NPCs are largely endless." - Game Knight Reviews
You died; whether by curse, ritual, or forces unknown, your soul was lost. You did not reach your final resting place, but instead wandered as a formless being that could not interact with this side of reality. For many years you wandered until you learned to gather energy from the world around you. You did not waste this energy to torment or to trick; no, you had a grander goal in mind.
One day you used this built up energy to possess a corpse just as its own spirit was leaving it. Your energy allowed you to repair the body and possess it. It took many years for you to muster the energy to attach yourself to a foreign host, and it will take time to build your powers again. At first your powers will be weak; you are able to leave your body and possess foes for only a few seconds, but given time your powers will grow, and you will learn to do incredible things.
Playing a possessor is more than just about gaining access to more feats and powers; it also provides you the opportunity to have a very unique and fascinating character background. Here are a few questions to consider when creating a Possessor:
Did you possess the first suitable body you could find, or did you stalk someone for months?
Do you now worship a deity in hopes that your soul will not again suffer the same fate? Perhaps you did worship a deity before, but they did not save you from your endless wandering and now you seek revenge.
Did you stay near home watching those you cared about, or did you travel across the world searching for a purpose?
