Fantasy Fungi

ZIP File

While the noble(?) adventurers crawl through the dungeons and stagger about in the forests in search of treasure to steal and monsters to cut open, it is quite common for such explorers to altogether ignore the pretty mushrooms, toadstools, and other such fungi that make up the background. Though most of the time we see a fungus as merely being a fungus... unless of course its attacking us... does it have to be this way always?

Must A Poor Little Fungus Be Doomed To An Existence Of Being Little More Than A Background Prop?

OF COURSE NOT!!! With this new product from Top Fashion Games, make believe fungi of all colors, shapes, sizes, and varieties get their glorious moment in the light of the role playing stage. From being edible to poisonous to medicinal to having magical effects, the mushrooms and molds found in Fantasy Fungi offer a wide range of applications for that next wilderness or underground adventure.
With this book you will get over 30 pages of interesting, useful, or annoying fungi to dump into your next fantasy role playing adventure. While none of these fungi bite or flail little tendrils at the innocent passerby, there are plenty of reasons for the adventurers to investigate the local mold growing on the walls and the toadstools happily sporing away in the corner.

100% OGL TEXT!!!
That's Right! All text, including the creative details and descriptions of the fungi are 100% OGL, meaning that you are free to drop a few infestations of the slime molds, tree crust, or gilled mushrooms from this book into your next published dungeon, forest raid, or book of lost arcane ingredients.

I have been running 5 sessions of an adventure in a maze-like monster burrow. This book has been my main source for terrorizing and torturing my players. Since the druid has been unconscious - no one can identify all the fungi. After a few encounter [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
