A bold start to an ongoing campaign (with further modules promised as part of the all too brief background).
This is a solid adventure which manages to avoid the hack and slash, which seems so common in 4e. The plot itself is simple and the 'twist' should come as no real surprise. But it is engaging enough, with a variety of challenges.
I would have welcomed some advice on scaling (the scenario suggests using NPCs to bolster the character's numbers; (one problem I did note was that the promised sample NPCs were no included), but this was hardly a huge problem.
Overall this works well as an introduction to the promised campaign and I would particularly recommend it for neophyte DMs.
