As described by it's creator, Autumn Arbor is to Green Ronin's Freedom City as Gotham is to Metropolis. It goes into great detail on the various personal problems that face each of its characters, immediately placing the tone closer to grim and gritty than 4-color. There are some truely dispicable villains here, and some heroes who are trying to be Silver Age noble even with the weight of their real lives on their backs. The setting, for a superhero world, is suprisingly realistic.

With Hunter and Prey, Arbor Productions allowed us a glimpse into a colorfully creative superhero world called Neos, with the Autumn Arbor Campaign Setting, they carve open the whole freaking gate , full on exposing us to an exciting and unique campaign setting for a Mutants and Masterminds world.
Of course, to say Autumn Arbor is just a campaign setting is not giving it justice. Throughout the power packed 200 pages, you will find suspicious heroes, deadly villains, descriptive city locations and incredible details that are written so vividly, you will find yourself snagging so much material from Autumn Arbor for your established campaign that you?ll wonder why didn?t you just use it as a campaign setting to begin with.
The detail of this book is amazing. At no point do the writers seem to get too engrossed in their dreamchild that they ignore the readers. In fact, with breakout boxes and careful explanations, they draw readers heavily into the world.

Autumn Arbor is a two-in-one kind of product. In one aspect, it?s a detailed city that can serve as a setting backdrop for your Mutants & Masterminds campaigns. But it?s also a complete super hero universe, with a long history and a full roster of good guys and bad guys.
The first thing that struck me about this book was its length. Weighing in at around 200 pages of content, Autumn Arbor is positively crammed with information. City locations are given mostly brief information (a paragraph or three on each), but there are a lot of locations described. Downtown hotspots, government buildings, businesses, churches...everything you'd expect to find in a real city is here, with just enough detail to be useful to the GM. The book organizes locations by city district, which is a very good way to structure things. It can be a bit hard to find a specific type of location, especially if you aren't familiar with the city's layout, but a good use of bookmarks goes a long way to alleviating ... This is a Great Superlink
Great Art
Very usefull NPCs
LIKED: Orignal Characters
Very useful if you have a night that you are not prepared for as a GM
My favorite part has to be the villian named
Professor Poppycock (greatest name ever)
DISLIKED: The NPCs not on their own pages
Arbor Productions is going to fix that on the next Hunter and Prey
So the flaw will be fixed

Hunter & Prey: Of Gods and Men is a Mutants and Mastermind Superlink adventure by Arbor Productions. It is 26-pages (after cover, intro and OGL) packed with full color artwork and clean layout. The Hunter & Prey line is designed to provide scenarios that can be easily incorporated into an existing M&M campaign. Additionally, by providing interesting and detailed characters for use, it can create plot threads that can be used throughout a campaign.
Of Gods and Men draws upon Hindu mythology and the Rakshasa for part of its background, liberally mixed with a classic (modern) western version of hell and demon and the pseudo-science of the comics. Ten characters are presented, nine of them superpowered (one is just a psychic) along with the minor demon allies that can be summoned. There is a corrupt mystic now fused with living rock, the lord of the Rakshasa seeking to restore his true powers, a demon and his allies, the heroic Professor Poppycock and his ally, the Enig ... I am not even sure where to begin so I believe I will just begin with ?Wow!? This is one great looking PDF. Arbor Productions has definitely met any art/presentation standards Green Ronin might have subconsciously set in their own books. The characters seem to come alive on the page even before you start reading about them.
Of Gods and Men is an excellent product and a perfect combination of sourcebook and mini adventure. This Hunter & Prey line is exactly the type of product I have been waiting for from Superlink. It often seems that characters in adventures are one-dimensional and you forget about them just as soon as you finish the adventure. The characters in this product are going to find permanent places in my campaign for years to come because they are that interesting.
The adventure goes out of its way to be helpful to the GM from boxed text giving you insights to information on how it can be used for both established groups and as a scenario for bringing new groups ... [TEXT_READ_FULL_REVIEW]

Productionwise, Hunter & Prey: of Gods and Men may be one of the finest looking Superlink products to come from a publisher other than Green Ronin. The beautiful book, both in layout and in color, is part adventure part NPC resource book. The Hunter & Prey line is a new line from Arbor Productions. The line is designed to be easily readable and applicable to any campaign, especially if the game master needs something to run for a night and is in a pinch.
Of God and Men is 32 pages, with every chapter and NPC bookmarked via the table of contents, not the PDF bookmark menu. The adventure itself deals with an artifact being brought into your heroes town for a museum opening. There is something mystical about the artifact and as thieves attempt to steal it, then the real battle begins.
For the Game Master
A majority of Of God and Men is a compilation of NPCs. Whereas you will not find your typical super villains, you will find a good mix of unique demon adversaries and ar ... [TEXT_READ_FULL_REVIEW]

A point I often mention in reviews of superhero products is that art is especially important in these types of games. Comic books are, after all, a visual medium, and any game emulating comics should strive to also emulate their art. Arbor Productions obviously agrees with me, as Of Gods and Men is a great-looking PDF with really good comicbook-style art. There are some 11 NPCs detailed in this book, and each is illustrated in full color. And they all look pretty darn good.
The first half of this product focuses on the characters. There are both heroes and villains represented here, and all are of a somewhat mystical bend. The characters are presented in typical M&M fashion with game statistics, background, description, and tactics. Also, each character is connected to one or more other characters, giving the GM a number of ready-made adventure hooks. The authors do a pretty good job presenting a decent variety of NPCs while still maintaining the mystical theme.
Among others ... [TEXT_READ_FULL_REVIEW]
