A fine addition to the Savage Worlds family. I was lucky enough to play a API Savage at Gencon 2012. Admittedly I was a little hesitant with how some of the special powers and different races would translate to Savage Worlds. After playing through API Savage I was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly Eloy Lasanta was able to transition API from his own system to Savage Worlds. Cool new races, racial edges, edges and hindrances. Congrats to Third Eye Games.
Another great mini-setting from MTE. Whether you use this as a stand alone setting or just add this to a current setting you are running Judgement Day is well worth the price. The Inquisitors are a group that could be used once in a campaign or could be an ongoing organization. I could definitely see using Judgement Day to for a Buffy like setting or even a Supernatural spinoff. The new edges and hindrances are very well done and I especially like the different Inquisitor career specialties that are available. On top of all this you get an adventure generator and finally an easy little cult generator. Great stuff at twice the cost.
First off let me say I am really not a Conan fan so this purchase was initially made to support a Savage licensee. It took me a couple weeks to actually print the players guide and spend some time reading through it. I was definitely impressed with the background information along with some of the new edges that are available. Whether or not you are a Conan fan I would highly recommend picking this up as a great fantasy setting that you can tailor to fit your needs or just play as is. I look forward to all of the future releases from GRAmel.
Fantastic second issue with a great article about homeschooling and gaming. Lots of great items you can use for your Savage Worlds games not matter the genre. Now if only we would make this monthly instead of quarterly.
Orientation is a great first adventure for your players to get acclimated to the ICONS system. I am running this for my own four children who range from 8 to 18 years old. The entire adventure revolves around the players first day orientation and allows them to learn about the school as well as the main instructors of the school. There is a map of the school included which is top notch and will be helpful for future adventures. Overall Orientation was perfect to help me teach my players about the ICONS system especially the three who had never role played before. I look forward to The Substitute being converted to ICONS and would highly recommend this to players who are new to ICONS.
Hope Prep is a great add on to the ICONS world. As a father of four home schooled children I was looking to run something for my kids as a sort of summer school project. Hope Prep provides a great background setting for gamers looking to run a supers campaign for younger supers. This supplement provides background on Hope Prep, teacher info and goes all the way down to class schedules and rival schools. I cannot wait for the Hope Prep #0 to be released for ICONS.
