Really love this pdf, any idea when a dead tree version will be out?

I find the game ok, the system is basically a roll 4d6 test system and you roll 4d6 for everything with mods, etc...for everything just about.
Overall its very bland and trite at least it was to me and really was to me too simple a system, the description made it seem to contain more than it had. For one thing not enough player races and classes to choose from, imo. I would have preferred more races like Half-Elves, Gnomes, and Half-Orcs added at least as playable races or even something made up. I also wish it used a classless system or professions or added at least a few classes extra like the Ranger, Paladin (or Crusader), or Sorcerer and maybe a Witch class.
Maybe a 2nd edition would shore it up if these things where added plus a POD option.

I like the game, its nice and simple but the lack of any real villains and the ability to get a POD of the book kinda leaves it as a secondary system too me so far. The layout and read so far seems overall nicely done but as far as a go to game for super heroes, well untill I can get a hard copy book in my hands it makes it difficult to use at the table as a pdf for that.

Great to do things in modern era, but lacks enemies to fight or foreign forces, the book is all about playing USA Forces which would be fine if you had something to fight against, but it lacks even terrorists, I mean come on not even an AK-47 is listed or an RPG or how to create a non-American trooper for the GM to make NPC's, no Russian or Chinese or European weapons or vehicles, very lame!

Interesting little supers game, using d8's only to determine everything. Some concepts need to be explained a bit better but after a few reads you should understand the concepts. You could do maybe Marvel power levels in this, I don't think it could handle Authority or DC scales though.

Thanks for your purchase and taking the time to review.
The system was designed to allow you the freedom to design original powers of any power level. I have seen players design many characters who were analogs of DC and Authority characters. Of course, YMMV.
I have updated the files since this review was written to help shed light on the muddier concepts of the original draft.
Thanks again for the feedback!! |

Great simple d6 game, reminds me of a stripped down version of the d6 system somewhat. The only thing I found missing was an equipment section and money system, I guess you use real world $$$ but as to costs and material strength of items and equipment, I have no idea how that works.

d20 Lite, this game uses the d20 system but without skills in a way. It uses whats called knacks, skills you get as you try doing certain things many times between levels, when you say try and ride a horse many times, when you advance to the next level, you can add it as a knack and have an easier time at riding horses. It kinda reminds me of the old 2e AD&D amalgamated with the 3.0 D&D d20 system somewhat. It makes it quite easy to use Monster Manuals from D&D 3.x and modules with PFRPG.
Liked: A simplified d20 version and open gaming system.
Disliked: Not much, it could use more monster pictures, this seems to be the way most OGL books are anymore, lack of monster art.
Overall its a nice workable set of rules based on the d20 OGL and some old school rpg systems, I recommend them to anyone looking for a game without feats and tons of skills.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! what can i say, have played several games with this already as I have both the PDF & the printed copy from lulu. This game just ooozes S&S, my group just loves the simplistic skill system (which there are none, just career levels that kinda group several skills and abilities under one core roll). You can't go wrong here if you like real freeform roleplaying, if you like more detailed systems, then go grab any d20 OGL or 4e system out there as they gag the market already. This simple d6 system reminds me of Classic Traveller at times but only in a S&S setting with sorcerer's.

This is one of many BESM books I own. I personally enjoy BESM 2nd edition the best, 3rd is a little complicated and d20 is probably the worst possible fuzion of d20 & BESM powers/attributes system. I have yet been able to get this game to work properly as its so broken, especially the Dynamic Sorcery & Magic systems. Go get 2nd edition far better and easier.
