Supermegatopia uses anthropomorphized, super-hero animal characters in an urban setting -- that's the best thing I can say about this game. Most of the rulebook is cartoon comic pages, with some game mechanics thrown in for good measure. It says it's the HERO system, but it doesn't bear any resemblance of HERO that I can remember (you should know I haven't played HERO in about 25 years, though).

Over-priced; wasted money; never will use it.

Needs more work to be a game, not a comic book. (The Art is good for what it is; Layout is OK.)

Short, concise, but nowhere near as good as the license requires.

Interesting concept. Not for use with younger gamers, unless you censor some of the art.

A little too cutesy for me - the comics in the front were pretty annoying for me as an RPG reader. The system seems robust enough, although it suffers from the "enormous list of powers" syndrome, which is very much at odds with its light-hearted zippy feel.

The NPC lists are terrific, though.

Ugggh, not exactly what I was hoping for...It's sort of just a whole bunch of furry hero comic strips with a little bit of RPG information.

This is a slick and amusing product with a lot of glitz. It's well worth the read.

I am a big fan of the paradigm shift system from way back (I have three copies of every DUEL book for some reason) and was a little bit dissapointed with the superpowers. Given the incredibly flexible magic system I would have expected something similar rather than a more limited list of set powers. I would recommend that anyone interested in this game also get the paradigm shift main rulebook.

I never heard of SuperMegaTopia or the Brother's Grim before this game, but now I'm glad that I have been able to make the introduction. I love the comic strips -- they are hillarious -- but I think Crunchy Frog Studios didn't do them justice. I think this is funny enough, but true to Crunchy Frog Standards, there are tons of "fluff" pages and multiple typos.

If you want a fun and simple game to play when you don't want to think much, the price is right.
