Dinosaurs, hominids, reptile-people, oh my! This book is fantastic for anyone who wants a "Lost World" setting in their game.

LIKED: The detailed section on primitive tribal society.

DISLIKED: Too many lizardpeople, and the catpeople didn't appeal to me.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied

Easily one of my favourite PDFs right here. The subject of the 'lost continent' or 'savage world' is woefully underexplored in d20 gaming. Or at least, it was woefully underexplored. But this book just offers so many cool ideas that as soon as you finish it - you'll be dropping your PCs into any weird tornado/hurricane/magic storm you can think of to drop them into a Prehistoric world.

The most valuable aspect of this book is just the ideas, and vivid images it puts in your mind. Savage adventures in the Rainforests teaming with dinosaurs and fell creatures just write themselves while you're reading. Truly wonderful to have.

I found it useful in helping me do a homebrew. After all, I'm doing something with a Savage theme on my own, and this provided some details that I needed to put some more meat on the bones. So to speak. I recommend it to everyone, it works well with GURPS Low-Tech.

This product was definitely a good buy. There are a number of new races, hazards, and creatures which fit well in a prehistoric or savage world type of game. There are some new feats and equipment, but they aren't redundant or overpowered. There is also a good amount of information on building tribal societies.

Also, even though this is a d20 product, much of the information would be easy to convert to other systems. In fact, I plan on using some of it in an upcomin HERO system game.

I was happy with it. Not a d20 fan and didn't need so many new races, gods, classes and feats, but what was there was flavorful and useful. It could use a map and it's much more "Lost World" than "Prehistoric World". It's built for a D&D-style fantasy campaign, but it's good at what it does and there is plenty of it. Worth the money.
