If you haven't tried one of Deep7's 1PG games, you owe it to yourself. They're perfect for one-shots.
All the games follow the same basic structure
1 Page of game rules (yes that's what 1PG stands for!
1 Page with a character sheet and chargen summary
1 page of advice for the GM (tailored to the setting)
1 page of genre specific rules (in this case relating to life and death in the Arena)
6 (that's six!) one-page adventure outlines. Well worth the cost of the PDF alone!
In Pax Gladius, the six mini-adventures combine to form an ongoing campaign of murder and intrigue in Rome.
What you don't get is any detailed background information, but that doesn't matter so much as all the game genres are Hollywood standards, so if you've seen Gladiator or any Roman "Sword and Sandal" movie, you're all set to run a Pax Gladius game.
All in all, fantastic value for money, and worth picking up for the sample scenarios alone.
