The only thing that I would ask to be added to these awesome ship files would be a "counter" or "token" to be used for online gaming. I use Roll20.net and plan to use this as my party's ship in an upcoming Traveller game. :)

No other complaints from me!!

A beautiful product, in many senses of the word.

The description of the ship is vibrant, covering not only the basics but also providing minor details (such as the hum from the tractor beam interfering with the video screen) that make it seem even more realistic than other similar products. The author also provides a history of the specific ship and crew that can be used to easily drop this into a star-spanning game.

The deck plans are wonderfully detailed and work great with minis. I printed them in full color and cut each page off along the bottom and right sides so pages overlapped consistently. Tiny pieces of tape helped keep pages from sliding during play, though it was a bit of a pain to take it all apart afterward. But it was worth it to see the players' reactions. I know the full color ate up a lot of toner, but it seemed a crime not to print in color. Had I been ink-shy, though, the product did include a black-and-white set of deck plans -- a pleasant surprise.

The ship's layout makes sense and includes pretty much everything you'd expect to find on a starship. I do wish the engine room was a bit larger, but I can live with what was provided.

The artwork is mind-blowingly awesome. The ship is presented in multiple views (overhead, front, back, and side). Beyond that, some in-action art is provided that makes the ship come alive.

Overall, I highly recommend this product.

I love these deckplans because they are so vivid and easy to use. And they look like real spaceships - not like blocks of rooms stuck together. These ships are aerodynamic and appear possible to actually land on planets rather than orbit around them. For a small team that is more useable.

Another incredibly detailed and excellent deck plan by Ryan Wolfe.

This ship like all the others he's created, is excellent in quality, providing a clear, logical layout and simple military design with excellent detail in all the right places.

Ryan also provides us with another fully fleshed out crew for the vessel, and details behind it's place in the galaxy, making it a "must have" for your starship deck plans collection.

The only small complaint I have is the interior seems very precise and military, lacking the "lived in" feel one would expect from a mercenary ship. But given the quality and original intent of the ship the interior is very well done, so this is only a very minor detail.

Quality: Extremely Satisfied Price: Very Satisfied

You simply cannot go wrong with these products. They are without a doubt the best deckplans in the business. I own the entire line, and am eager to buy more.

This particular vessel is a multi-seat intersepter, more akin to a patrol boat than a fighter.

When it comes to science fiction deckplans the Future Armada Series is the hands down winner for best bang for your buck! The bane of the sci-fi gamer has always been finding deckplans for ship interiors. I remember playing D6 star wars and looking at all the wonderful ships but desperatly wishing to know what they looked at on the inside. Thanks to Ryan Wolfe's future armada series not I have over a dozen ships of various sizes with complete interior deckplans. That alone would be worth the purchase price but when you add in the fact that each one comes with not one BUT TWO miniature scale printable maps this is something that every sci-fi GM should own.

While the Gryphon may seem small compared to the last two Future Armada releases it is a move back to smaller personal craft that are more likely to be used by a PC group. While the awesome scale of the Invicitus clearly dwarfs the smaller Gryphon, the Gryphon will probably see alot more use simply because it is much more party friendly and can be used in a variety of diffrent ways while the Invicitus is a one trick pony. At five dollars this is something that is more useful than any print product you could pay four times the price for, period!

Is there even a good reason to write reviews of Future Armada products any more? It seems that everyone, like me, just downloads them the moment they're released, sight unseen.

The Future Armada deckplans are simply excellent in all respects -- and in my opinion, Ryan Wolfe creates the best starship deckplans out there. Don't believe me? Download the free preview versions of the various PDFs from Wolfe's Ki Ryn Studios, and have a look for yourself.

Be sure to check out Wolfe's mega-project deckplans -- the fully-realized space station Argos III, and the deck-by-frickin'-deck capital ship, Invictus. If these don't impress you with their sheer scope and scale, call your doctor, as you may be dead.

Certain individual Future Armada designs may not meet with your personal needs or tastes, but there's no one out there doing work this good, this consistently.

The Gryphon is billed as a mercenary base-of-operations ship for a small strike team -- and it can certainly be used that way. As written, however, the starship works equally well as a six-crew "jack of all trades, master of none" vessel for space adventurers of any kind. In this, and in the fact that the ship can be piloted by only two people (one, in a pinch), the Gryphon shares a strong link with the famous Scout/Courier vessel from Classic Traveller. Six individual crew cabins make it a perfect home ship for any party of starfarers seeking their fortunes out in the void.

If you're at all interested, just buy it. If you're like most of us who know Ryan Wolfe's Future Armada series, you've probably bought The Gryphon already. 5 out of 5 stars
