Overall, I'd have to say this is a pretty well made game. The system isn't the greatest I've seen and definitely not the most "statistically accurate" if you can call a system that. Basically, it's a pretty simple system resulting in a simple game. The reason this game stands a head above a lot of other games is simply because of the setting. This game is worth the money just for the first about 50 - 100 pages where it describes the setting, characters, and how everything happened. Also the last few pages deal with what is not revealed in the beginning, the secrets and is only for the GM to read. What makes this game great since the system is so simple, you could actual integrate your favorite system into this pretty flawlessly. All you'd have to do really is change a few feats around and the stats and your good to go. All in all, this game is worth the money just because the setting alone. It's a simple system which is fun, but also allows for an easy integration of another system with one of the best settings I've ever read.

Mythic Bundle [BUNDLE]

Mythic is simply amazing!!! It does EXACTLY what it's meant to. You can create adventure ideas if your stuck, you can play solo, gm-less, create surprises in mid-game, and it truly is compatible with EVERY RPG as long as you know the rules to that game. Honestly, the only down-side to this is that it doesn't have a human mind. Mythic is a great value and if you're looking for a way to simulate a GM, whether it to be played solo or with a group where the usual GM wants to actually play, this will successfully fulfill your needs. I caution you though, having a human GM who comes prepared and knows the rules and scenario like the back of your hand can't be beat by anything. Although Mythic is a very close second. I would go into how it works but previous reviews and the description itself sums it all up so I won't waste your time. All you need to know is that this system DOES work and it's so simple to use that your cat could probably use it as long as you could teach it how to play the RPG game of your choice.

Grunt - Roleplaying in the Vietnam War

This game is one of the best historic rules books I have ever read. By far the best post WWI, pre-terrorism war game I've read. I know that's kind of a narrow area, but it still counts for something. This game has a nice and easy system that players, especially beginners, will enjoy. I also like how it groups the equipment and explains some of the rules. One final thing I liked about it is the stress factor. This makes war seem so real that your player, in some of the first attacks, will actually be scared out of his mine and hide, drop to the ground, panic, etc. This takes away the seasoned veteran attitude that most games have that when you're in your first combat, you basically can be the hero and are no different than your superior officers in that you have the same bravery and willingness to go into the fight and dominate. Now you can do that in this game if you're lucky, but most characters will panic and be scared like real people would in their first few combat situations. A few things I didn't like about this game is that, even though the equipment is nicely organized into groups, it doesn't have a ton of different specific weapons with different stats, it's just groups. Also, it's a simple system so it's not very in-depth. Those are the only two reasons why it didn't get 5 stars. I would definitely buy this game if you're looking for a fun war game, especially if you want one set in Vietnam. Honestly, I would just buy this system for the stress system itself because you can integrate that into other games you play to make it more realistic.

World War 2 Heroes - 1st Edition [BUNDLE]
Publisher: SteelMagic Studios

World War II Heroes is an...interesting game. Let me tell you first, do not buy this game if you are not a fan of the D20 system. You will also need to have the D20 Modern rulebook as well because it refers to that a ton instead of just explaining in the book which I thought was credibly annoying since I'd have to switch between rulebooks to refresh myself.

Besides that, this game isn't half-bad. It has a decent amount of depthness and the rules seem to fit together well. I was disappointed in this game because you can only be an American soldier. Now, if you know enough about the German, Russian, or any other army that partook in WWII, then you can re-adjust the rules pretty easy to make it so that you can be a part of that army. A nice thing is for the equipment, it includes equipment from the USA, German, and Russian army. That didn't make a whole lot of sense since you can only be an American soldier, but it was a nice add-in.

Overall, this game isn't too bad of a game. Nothing to go bragging about to your friends, but it'll keep you entertained for a while. I do like that it is flexible in a way that you can kind of just flip flop rules around so that you could actually play different armies eventhough you technically can't. I also liked the equipment lists. But be weary, do NOT buy this game if 1) you are not a fan of the d20 system or 2) you don't have the d20 modern rulebook. If you do like the d20 system, you should have a lot of fun with this game. I'd have to say if I liked the d20 rules, it'd probably be 4 stars because it'd tailor to what I would like more, but since I don't I gave it a three. It doesn't get 5 because it doesn't have as much depth as I hoped and you actually have to do some work if you don't want to be American.

Overall this is a pretty fun game. It's a very simple game with not much too it. It only takes 30 - 45 minutes to play (if that) and is resolved pretty easily. It's nothing like law & order though like some people might think. You basically just roll (literally dice wise) through the entire scenario. The solitaire part isn't too bad while the multiplayer part is slightly more fun in my opinion since you don't know everything that's coming plus it's harder. The only real complaint I have is that i had to read the entire PDF twice because I couldn't understand it the first time through. Good thing it isn't long ;) All in all, this is a pretty good game with simple mechanics (once you understand) and a neat solitaire system.

Amazing game!! Five Stars all the way!! If you are looking for a game about modern war where you only control 1 player instead of an entire squad, then this IS the game!! The rules are simple and easy, but yet still have the depth to make the game flow smoothly while making it completely accurate. It also gives you a great background and idea of the company, who you are working for, and the world around it so that the Game's Master can easily and thoroughly create a campaign. However, there are a few places where you might have to re-read the section because the wording is confusing or spelled wrong. Overall though that won't matter because it's easy to figure out what they mean. All in all, THIS IS A MUST BUY!!!!!!!
