The quick-start dungeon was an enjoyable introduction, but there were a few inconsistencies between the rules in this S&W quick start guide and the S&W core rules. This lead to some confusion during character creation.
Super way to get (back) into RPGs. Simple, quick and plenty of opportunity for improvisation and actual role playing. "The best thing about this game is that there's more than one way to solve the puzzles" - this from a pre-adolescent veteran console gamer, and his younger sibling just bought her own set of dice: I couldn't be happier!
The detail is ideal, a quick read has your players ready in a hurry.
The example dungeon has enough detail to keep a complete newbie DM on track (which i am...) while having enough gaps left to fill that i can see as my improv improves, the game will stay interesting and relevant!
I truly believe this product could stand as a product even if all it had was that example dungeon...
But the fast-tracked learning nature of the rest of this book takes it well beyond expectations.
