Don't think of Orion as a ship, think of it as a location. This is where your characters live and work, and where they return when the adventure is over. This is home, this is the location where they train and get rewarded and promoted. This ship served as a fleet flagship in a campaign involving many smaller support ships (See the "Drake" product) that went out on adventures and saved the day. This was a command and control, repair and re-supply base located in a growing system that still lacked the resources for a colonial station of some sort. It moved a few times, mostly as cavalry to save the day, but it was usually a pillar of stability that served as a place to limp back to with engines smoking, blasted turrets, and wounded crewmen.

Very good ship and design. I was expecting something little bigger (for my lost-in-space campagin) but it's an excellent work!

I have 9 of the Future Armada series, and while they're all spectacular, Orion is definitely my favorite. The artwork and details are light years beyond anything else out there. I've spent hours going over the maps, and the background information makes for fascinating reading. This whole series is first rate!

Another incredible star ship for the future armada collection that is arguably the most impressive one yet.

Multiple pdfs cover the Orion itself in complete detail (both color & B&W) in excellent resolution with the bridge crew officer detailed as an added bonus.

Also of note is the ships fighter, shuttle, escape pod, and tank complement, all of which are fully detailed and beautifully rendered with complete stats.

The Orion itself has everything one could possibly expect inside such a grand vessel, from med bays, rec rooms and hangars; to crew quarters a science lab and even quartermaster section, all laid out in minute detail in a logical realistic design.

All in all this is the best carrier deck plans I've seen for an rpg product, bar none.

Quality of artwork: Extremely Satisfied Quality of writing: Very Satisfied Value for Price Paid: Extremely Satisfied

Another wonderful addition to the Future Armada fleet. I just bought this today, and I can't wait to use it in my game.

For such a large craft, the Orion's decks appear laid out logically and well. It seems that nothing is left out. (At least, nothing that I noticed.) Though I could print the deck plans in B&W if I wished (a separate set of B&W plans are provided), I know I'm going to bite the bullet and print this in full color. I'm not looking forward to how much color tonor this is going to use, though. (Well over 100 pages of deck plan sections alone!)

In addition to the Orion itself, three separate sub-vessels are provided (four, if you count the life boats): a hover tank, a personnel carrier shuttle, and a heavy fighter.

As with other Future Armada products, this has some great in-action art that makes the ship itself and its smaller vessels come alive.

Kudos to Ryan Wolfe and Ki Ryn Studios for more great work!

One of the best resources to come out in a long time, Future Armada has raised the bar for RPG accessories. The art and maps have excellent detail. The descriptions of each ship, along with any supporting vehicles/spacecraft make this series top-of-the-line!
