Power Pics Villains 10- Mad Scientist
Publisher: Mesozoic Press

This image, the "Mad Scientist" had exactly the right amount of goofiness for the application I had in mind, and will be used in one of our flagship products. I'm pleased with the product, and I'm hoping I can find additional, suitable clip art in your catalog in the future.

I did encounter a technical issue when attempting to extract the image for editing and conversion to Photoshop, as it seems that there was a layer of several images in the PDF which prevented direct selection of the artwork. The workaround was to open the file in Acrobat Pro and export the page to JPG format and then import it to photoshop.

Design Kit: 5

We decided to use this design kit for the upcoming second edition of our Pangenre RPG Magic supplement (2012?), and the first feedback we've received from the playtesters is that they love the enhancements.

The backgrounds and borders included with the product come in A4 format, so converting to US Letter format entails some scaling, but it's not noticable on the full page.

Based on our experience with this kit, we just picked up another kit for use with our next release.

Digital Tablet Handout Border/Background Graphic
Publisher: Dave Graffam Models

I was searching for a frame border clip art, this appeared as a published resource under Clip Art. I overlooked the disclaimer in the text that it was not clip art. It is not. I am very unhappy that it was categorized as such. But I previously reviewed it unfairly based on the publisher's chose of taxonomies which fooled me into making a purchase I would not otherwise have made. (Although it was my oversight.) I am replacing a previous 1-star rating with a more appropriate one to reflect the quality of the artwork instead of my annoyance. It looks okay, although the number of "controls" are a bit too busy.

I didn't list this item as stock art or clip art. I don't know which of OneBookShelf's sites have a Clip Art subcategory, but there is a Stock Art category for DriveThruRPG, RPGNow and Wargame Vault. This product, however, is not and never has been listed as clip art or stock art on any of those sites. It's possible that OBS's search filter picked up something in the item's main text, such as "this is not stock art" becoming a positive result for "stock art". But I don't know how else to make that statement without saying "stock art." Anyway, you're clearly not really satisfied with your purchase, and I'm sorry about that. While I don't offer money back for this sort of thing, I'd be happy to send you some other product of mine if they interest you at all. Just email me at luminousbeings@yahoo.com and we'll sort it out. Cheers, -Dave Graffam
T4 Fire, Fusion and Steel Revised

If you were ever a "fan" of High Guard, Striker, or the original FF&S, this edition is another in the long line of detailed rule sets allowing you to cover a great many esoteric aspects of ship and equipment design. If you don't like the way the standard technology works, it still gives you a good framework for adding in any other design sequence or sub-sequence to get what you want. Don't like Jump Drive? Prefer Bloater Drive instead? Just juggle the numbers!

The biggest downside to this volume so far is in the extraction. The PDF allows content to be sampled and moved (as I do with my games as they borrow from many but are based on a unique set of rules that cry out for having their content consolidated in a single rulebook).

However.... Every Odd page has a nice Imperial Sun symbol graphic overlaying the text. This interferes with your ability to copy text sections from all the Odd numbered pages. Whether or not it is a deliberate attempt to introduce some copy protection I cannot say, but since one of the main points of electronic documents is their accessibility... In any event, this cost the product 2 stars on my rating. If not for this, I'd have given it a 4/5. I've always been a follower of Frank Chadwick's game systems and Traveller was my first RPG, so I've got a soft spot.

3 for the overall product, +1 for the content, and –2 for the Imperial Sun graphic/watermark interfering with text selection.
